We have a confirmation that a team of all-star UK and International bartenders will indeed be aiming to set the record for the world’s largest Piña Colada at this year’s RumFest.

Such renowned names as Jake Burger, Papa Jules, Tony Conigliaro, Eric Lorincz and Roman Milostivy (amongst others) will be looking to set the bar as high as they can.  Such a record attempt has not been undertaken before – but the aim will be to scare off future attempts.

The rum sponsor is as yet unknown – could be more than one brand, but we understand the coconut cream will be provided by Coco Real.  Cement mixers and paddling pools have all been mentioned, but until the day I guess we won’t really know for sure how this will play out.  I’m absolutely sure that the attempt will provide top quality entertainment if Jake Burger is involved though!

What is for sure is that the resulting cocktail (however large it might turn out to be) will be sold off in sensible size portions to RumFest visitors, with the proceeds going to charity!
